ASKED QUESTIONS
Is there a charge to attend POINT? +
No! All our services, including trips, are free for young people. POINT covers all costs.
However, if a young person signs up for a trip and does not attend, a charge may be incurred. For some trips, we may ask young people to bring a packed lunch or a small amount of spending money.
How do you sign up to POINT? +
You can simply turn up!
If your parent or guardian hasn’t already completed the online registration form, you’ll be given a paper registration form and welcome pack to take home and return on your next visit.
What age do you have to be to attend POINT? +
Young people must be in Year 6 and aged 10 to attend. We work with young people from Year 6 (10 years old) up to age 25.

What if a young person has a medical condition or additional needs? +
Any medical conditions, allergies, or additional learning needs should be shared on the registration form so we can support young people safely.
What is your behaviour policy? +
POINT operates a behaviour level system to help keep the centre safe and welcoming for everyone:
- Level 1: Incident recorded and asked to leave for the evening
- Level 2: Temporary ban from the club (one week)
- Level 3: Letter home to parents/guardians and a one-month ban
If a young person refuses to leave when asked, a parent/guardian will be contacted to collect them.
In serious situations, an immediate or longer suspension may apply at staff discretion.
Listening to staff is essential to keeping POINT a positive space for all.
Can young people suggest activities? +
Yes! We have a suggestion box in the drop-in and regularly carry out surveys to hear what young people want to do.
How do you communicate updates? +
All updates are shared via social media and within the drop-in.

If you have a concern, please contact Kate-Marie Mitchell on 01348 875467 or katenewton@pointypt.org.uk.
Our Compliments and Complaints Policy can be found under the Policies section of the website.
