“Tea and Toasties”

TEA AND TOASTIES
The Upskill Project, affectionately known as “Tea and Toasties”, is a drop-in for 16–25 year olds where every session comes with a free toastie and refreshments. This informal, relaxed space is designed to support our older members in a variety of practical ways, including:
- One-to-one support
- Help with applications
- CV building
- Referrals to specialist services
- Assistance with Universal Credit obligations
- Benefit support
- Access to youth centre equipment

RUNS EVERY THURSDAY 12PM-2PM
Tea and Toasties runs every Thursday from 12pm – 2pm, providing a welcoming environment where young people can chat with peers or Youth Workers Zoe and Lee, discuss any issues or concerns, or simply unwind with a cup of tea and a toastie.
We also host regular visits from external support services, making it easy for young people to access help in a seamless and informal way. For example:
- Path’s Tenancy Support Scheme
- Citizens Advice
- Youth Outreach Team and Mind’s Employability Support Service
If a young person requires more specialist support, we can arrange in-house referrals during the session, creating a one-stop hub for guidance, advice, and practical help.
